Providing educational opportunities for children of church employees
Church Solutions magazine, published by Phoenix-based Virgo Publishing – along with the conference & expo’s founding sponsor, the National Association of Church Design Builders – is proud to announce the 2009 Scholarship Program, which will provide five $2,000 educational scholarships for deserving individuals. Winners will be announced at the February 2009 Church Solutions Conference & Expo in Phoenix. Application deadline is Nov. 7, 2008.
Scholarship Application Guidelines
The applicant’s parent must currently be a full-time (40 hours per week) employee of or volunteer at a church. Employment status must have been maintained for at least one full year at time of application. Upon notification that they have won the scholarship, applicants must provide proof of parent’s employment, along with a high-resolution digital photo. Credentials such as pay stubs, W-2 forms and/or a signed letter from the employer on church letterhead will serve as valid confirmation.
Applicants must:
1. Be at least 17 years old to qualify.
2. Be U.S. citizens.
3. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
4. Exhibit strong motivation for education.
5. Demonstrate commitment to and potential for success.
6. Demonstrate leadership.
7. Attend a college, university or accredited post-secondary educational institution or program during either semester of 2009.
